Well that's another week of gastronomic delights served up exclusively to er indoors. Boy is she showing the benefits of a wholesome diet!
Sorry to have to report our loss this week of a dear friend. Basil, went under the knife and into the pot (as was reported last week). He was very brave and didn't make a fuss at all; tasted wonderful and certainly made a difference to the subtle aromatic flavour of my pasta dish. What made the pain all the more easier for Basil to bear was that he went to the block, knowing that his friends from the Potting Shed were all green with envy!
Anyway my lovelies, I know you have been waiting with anticipation, some on the edge of your seats and all that. Pencils poised, notebooks open and I hear some are even refusing to eat until they are inspired by 'shuggies 20 min meal' blog.
Well here we go:
Saturday
Pan fried Pork Cutlet with sage butter, Braised Cabbage and 'Desire Me' potatoes – Tip: Sear them cutlets nice & quick, to caramelise and seal in the flavour, then turn down the heat and let em cook nice and slow – rest for 5 mins before tuckin in.
Sunday
A fusion of Scottish & Italian flavours, topped off with a little French beauty - Ham Broth, sundried tomato focaccia and Tuscan Grape Tart
Monday
Thai Haddock, Egg Fried Rice & Asian Greens – simply lush and so quick to knock up, if you know how!
Tuesday
Pimped up 'Toad in the Hole', with 'kind on the hips' (for all you ladies) spuds and rustic 'eat me again peas'
Wednesday
'Lick me Lips' Fish Cakes, Bijou salad, tiny aubergine fritters and a hot n spiced dipper dressing
Thursday
Spaghetti Carbonara
Friday
Hot, spicy soup and infinitely moreish cake
