Joint Services Mountain Training Centre
HQ JSMTC is the Services Lead Centre for Summer Mountaineering, Winter Mountaineering, Rock Climbing, Winter Climbing, Canoeing, Caving and Skiing and is based at Indefatigable on Anglesey, North Wales. HQ JSMTC commands four Joint Service Mountain Training Wings (JSMTWs), located as follows:
JSMTW (Indefatigable): at Indefatigable, on Anglesey, North Wales
JSMTW (Scotland): in Argyll, Scotland
JSMTW (Ripon): in North Yorkshire, England
JSMTW (Norway): near Lillehammer, Norway (Nov to Apr only)
JSMTC Mission: ‘To train Service personnel as leaders and instructors in directed AT activities in order to ensure they have the requisite qualifications and experience to conduct these activities in their own units’

To review your course applications or find out if you have been loaded onto a course, use the 'JS Course Booking Search' option under the 'Courses' menu item at the top of the page. Do not call JSMTC to find out if you have been loaded onto courses.
